蝴蝶夫人正要開演
劇藝軒先吃一頓
據說蝴蝶夫人這齣戲
是真實事件改編的,
1890年代,
駐紮日本長崎的美軍 Pickerton
買了15歲的日本藝妓 ”Butterfly” ,
並娶她為妻
不久後 Pickerton 隨軍隊離開日本,
但承諾會回來,
雖然旁人不看好這段姻緣,
但她仍癡心等待
女傭 Suzuki 努力說服她 Pickerton 不會回來了,
等了三年後, Butterfly仍滿懷希望,
“One Fine Day” 就是她想像Pickerton回來的那一天,
大船駛進長崎港的情形
她向 Suzuki 描述自己的期盼並予以安撫
盪氣迴腸的樂曲與清亮委婉的女高音
在觀眾期盼下響起,
今晚是澳洲女高音 Antoinette Halloran 挑大樑
她高亢的嗓音使得現場的空氣為之凝結
好像有股神聖的光環圍繞著她
全場觀眾為之屏息, 連呼吸都不敢出聲
此曲是全劇的代表
每個學聲樂的女高音
都希望機會穿上和服在舞台上唱出One Fine Day吧!

And then the ship will appear. 接著船出現了
A white ship 一艘白色的船
Enters the harbour 駛進港口

See? He’s come! 看吧? 他來了!
